Henry's handmade
Our artistic curator Henry loves making things with his hands.
When he was young, he dreamed about being a ceramist.
However, reality led him to study civil engineering instead.
Until he was almost 60, Henry got to fulfill his childhood dream by learning how to wheel-throwing.
He once went to Yixing, China, to become a student of one of the master, leaning how to make purple-clay teapots.
Since he use these tea wares everyday, Henry knows very well what will make these tea wares easy to use.
That's why his work is always very handy and well-loved, especially the teapots and pitcher.

Besides pottery, Henry also taught himself how to do Kintsugi, the traditional reparation technique from Japan.
Over the years, he has repaired multiple treasured utensils for himself and for our clients.
He will also use the leftover lacquer from Kinsugi to make lacquer ware.
Henry never stop creating and trying new things.
